Guy Montag is a fireman. It is firemen who start fires rather than put out fires in his world, where television rules and literature is disappearing. In addition to eliminating these houses, he destroys the most illegal product known to mankind: the printed book. Mildred, who spends all day watching television, never asks why Montag destroys the world with his destructive actions. In the meantime, he meets a young eccentric neighbor, Clarisse, who introduces him to a time when people did not live in fear and where one saw the world through books instead of mindless television. A few days after Mildred attempted suicide and Clarisse suddenly disappeared, Montag began to question his existence and everything he knew. Fireman hides books in his home and runs for his life when his pilfering is discovered.
